The LAB: Create - Terms and Conditions
Terms and Conditions
- To book a place on THE LAB: CREATE, please complete and return a booking form together with the appropriate fee.
- Please note that places on THE LAB: CREATE are allocated on a first come first serve basis, on receipt of fee payment and booking form.
- All booking forms must be authorised by a parent or guardian if the participant is under 18 years of age.
- Scottish Youth Theatre offers Family Discounts if there are two or more siblings participating in THE LAB: CREATE. Please note that the first participant pays in full and any additional sibling receives a 10%discount.
- Places in THE LAB: CREATE are limited, In the event of the course being fully booked when we receive your booking form Scottish Youth Theatre will return or refund any fees paid and place the participant on the reserve or waiting list.
- Scottish Youth Theatre reserve the right to cancel any activity.
- Occasionally, Scottish Youth Theatre may need to change the venue for THE LAB-CREATE.. In this instance we will let participants and parents/guardians know in advance.
- Scottish Youth Theatre reserve the right to change advertised staff and content, and the running of THE LAB: CREATE is subject to adequate participant numbers.
Use of Images of Children/Young People – 10 Key Points
1. All children must be appropriately dressed.
2. Photography or recording must focus on the activity, not a particular young person.
3. Images should focus on small groups rather than individuals.
4. Images of a young person who is under a court order should never be used.
5. If a young person is named avoid using there photograph.
6. If a photograph is used, avoid naming the person or use there first name only. Personal details should never be revealed.
7. Ensure parents/guardians/young people have signed and returned the parent/guardian/young person permission slips.
8. Use photographs that represent the broad range of youngsters participating.
9. All people taking photographs or recording footage at an event should be approved by an Associate Director
10. All concerned regarding inappropriate or intrusive photography should be reported to the appropriate organization.
Participation
THE LAB - CREATE IS intended to provide productive and enjoyable training opportunities for everyone attending. In order to ensure that all attending have an opportunity to participate fully please observe the following guidelines.
Participants should:
• Arrive on time for every session.
• Be appropriately dressed wearing loose comfortable clothing and footwear.
• Switch off their mobile telephone during each session..
• Follow instructions from Scottish Youth Theatre Staff.
• Be courteous and polite to all.
• Behave sensibly and responsibly at all times being aware of their safety and the safety of others.
Scottish Youth Theatre will not tolerate bullying or any other form of abuse We therefore reserve the right to remove /bar participants on the grounds of disruptive behavior.
Attendance
If you are absent from a session of THE LAB-CREATE please report this to The Scottish Youth Theatre office ( 0141 552 3988) as soon as you are aware that you are unable to attend, so that this can be reported to the Director and the session plan can therefore be adapted for the rest of the group.
