Continuing Professional Development for Special Educational Needs Teachers
- The Workshop Toolbox
This 4hr session is about inspiring teachers, developing confidence in their own delivery, learning new games and exercises to energise, focus and bring everyone together. From this, use workshop templates to design own lesson using the toolbox techniques and get handy tips from highly skilled and experienced staff. Be inspired, refreshed, ask questions and create.
The session will focus on ‘creating a story’ and what creative methods to use to focus on the groups strengths, abilities and likes rather than their disability. This is an opportunity to seek advice from a Scottish Youth Theatre Associate Director and follow a tried and tested template.
Participants will be grouped together by the abilities of the young people they work with to create a specialist drama workshop which they can then deliver in their school.

- The Production Toolbox
This 4hr session passes onto teachers a series of tried and tested, over 35 years, methods, techniques and rehearsal templates to follow when working towards a school production. Considering staging, set, costume, use of music the participants will have plenty of opportunity to learn ways to manage the stress and success of the School Production.
