Summer Festival
Whether it’s being on stage or working behind the scenes, Summer Festival has a course to make your summer unforgettable!
Established in 1977, Scottish Youth Theatre's Summer Festival has grown to offer a 5 week Performance and Production Course; 2 week Foundation Courses in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow; a 3 week Intermediate Course, supporting the Performance and Production Course main house shows; and a 1 week Junior Course, in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
During July and August the Summer Festival Course participants come together with a team of professional theatre practitioners to workshop, devise, rehearse and produce theatre performances.
Summer Festival offers critically acclaimed drama courses. Young people wanting to take part (apart from the Junior Course) are required to audition.

Summer Festival 2010 will offer:
- Auditions for Performance & Production Course and Intermediate Course began in March.
- Auditions for Foundation Course began in April.
Everyone who applies for any course (apart from the Junior Course - no audition required), is guaranteed an audition and/or interview. We try to make it as painless as possible! Further information will be sent about the process prior to your audition date.
